The John R. Hayes High Steppin' Majorettes and Drum Corp
Founded in 1977 by the late John R. Hayes, this iconic program has inspired over 10,000 youth through the art of precision marching, dance, and drumming.

We combine tradition, discipline, and creativity to help youth build skills,
confidence, and lifelong friendships.

WHY IT MATTERS
More than a band — a safe space for youth to grow, lead, and belong. As part of Umoja Health, Wellness & Justice Collective, and the HOPE 4 the Future program, the band blends tradition with trauma-informed care and healing.
